Where to find Sterling Gates at Comic-Con International 2014

Gonna be a quick SDCC trip for me this year. I’ll be down Saturday morning to promote our small, independent comic book movie, THE POSTHUMAN PROJECT, then coming back up to Los Angeles that night.

SO! If you don’t catch me on Saturday’s panel, you’rrrrre probably not gonna catch me at all!

(And if you’d like to see the latest POSTHUMAN PROJECT trailer, it’s over here.)

11:35am - 1:25pm: THE POSTHUMAN PROJECT Screening and Q&A (Marriott Hall 2, Marriott Marquis & Marina)

Denny Burke is finally about to graduate from high school. Senior year has been one bad thing after another: a broken leg, a broken heart, and-worst of all-a broken home. With four of his closest friends, Denny goes on one last rock- climbing trip to prove he’s ready to start his adult life. On their trip, the five teens receive a genetic boost beyond anything they’d ever imagined. Denny’s soon faced with the first big decision of his adult life: Does he give up these powers and stay a normal teenager, or does he keep them…and graduate from the human race? Participating panelists include Kyle Roberts (director), Sterling Gates (writer), and Lindsay Sawyer (actress).

A 9/11 tribute comic I drew for the OU school newspaper in 2003. I was one of two cartoonists they had that year.
They told me they couldn’t run this piece for some reason or another (I can’t remember why, but I remember it being a dumb reason), and I quit cartooning for them the next day.

So, @Rickeypurdin RULES. Game of Thrones infographic.

The first time I watched the first few episodes of GAME OF THRONES, I had to keep pausing the show so I could write down who did what and how they knew who and why.So then I turned that family tree-like tracking guide into the above piece! It’s not spoiler-y except for ONE thing that you learn in the first episode, so don’t worry. This is specifically for looking at as you watch the first few episodes just so you can keep things straight, too.
Hooray!

I would fly that dragon and wield that wheelchair like a BOSS.

ealperin said: Hi there, Mr. Gates! I'm just wondering if there were any Rogues Gallery villains that you WISHED you tossed into your Supergirl run. Loved your take on some memorable ones, like Silver Banshee, as well as new ones, like Mirabai. ;)

No, I think I got to most of them, even if some were only in little cameos (like The Gang).

I wanted to do a big storyline where all the villains Jamal and I had built up were gonna for the “Supergirl Revenge Squad.” Big team of villains versus our Teen of Steel. We even talked about making a new Reactron to fill the team out.

Sales were what they were, though, so we never got a chance to do that story. C’est la vie!

SUCH a fun project. Loved every minute of it.
